Are you personally keeping up with all the developments in the space of longevity, healthspan, age reversal, etc.? Are you enjoying the benefits of new research in this field?
Let me share some therapies available today for supporting longevity, healthspan and age reversal:
- HBOT: Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment for anti aging: HBOT treatment has been used by sportpersons like Novak Djokovic since 2010 (is this the secret of his success?) , but a new study has shown that hyperbaric oxygen treatments halt the aging of blood cells and reverses the aging process.
- Stem cell therapy:A number of stem cell therapy clinics have come up, offering various stem cell treatments. Selma Blair the famous Hollywood actress is now recovering from Multiple Sclerosis (MS) after Stem cell treatment (MS has no known cure so far). Mel Gibson’s father Hutton Gibson, at age 92, recovered from his deathbed after taking stem cell therapy and lived an active life upto 101 (he reached the clinic the first time on a wheelchair and when he left the clinic, he was pushing a nurse in a wheelchair! Mel Gibson claims that stem cell therapy saved his Dad’s life and now he is on regular stem cell therapy).
- Young blood plasma treatment:As a new advanced treatment in the anti-aging battle, this is slowly gaining traction. Studies on mice have shown definitive roll-back of apparent age when the blood of young mice is infused. It’s clear that blood plasma contains many of the proteins, enzymes, and other antibodies which control disease and health, including aging. Though this is still at an experimental stage for humans.
- Exosome therapy:This is the newest frontier in cellular regeneration techniques. This therapy can improve signaling between cells, reduce inflammation, cause cells to regenerate, and modify the body’s immune response when it’s not healthy. Exosomes, are small vesicles released by all the cells, but especially stem cells. They are essentially, little messengers carrying important signaling proteins and genetic information from cell to cell. Exosomes are being used to repair aging tissues of the body, as they have shown remarkable regenerative ability. They have been shown to impact cells to heal themselves, and they also play a part in eliminating cellular cytotoxins.
- Supplements: There is a whole new range of anti aging supplements which have been brought to market after extensive research. The most noteworthy molecules are Nicotinamide Riboside (NR) / Nicotinamide Mono Nucleotide (NMN), Fisetin, Quercetin, Pterostilbene / Resveratrol, Curcumin, Collagen, Coenzyme, Apegenin, Theanine, Hyaluronic Acid, EGCG, Astragalus, Rhodiola. Initial clinical studies have indicated that each of these Supplements have a positive impact on one or more pathways of aging and positively impact both longevity and age reversal.
Beyond these, we can use trackers, wearables, health apps, focused blood / urine + tests, genetic and DNA tests, microbiome tests, Hormone replacement therapies, etc. for a focused approach towards longevity, lifespan and age reversal. On the anvil are therapies such as CRISPR, organ bioprinting, vaccines and pills, more aggressive developments in all the above mentioned areas, etc. which should get to commercial use in the next few years and help push the envelope towards Homo Sapien 2.0.
Here is also an update on a few noted practitioners in this space:
- Dr Alan Green:a medical doctor practicing in New York, having 54 years experience in the medical field, and now an expert in the field of anti aging medicine. Green is currently running therapeutic treatment against aging that includes metformin, rapamycin, fisetin, quercetin, and dasatinib. He has treated more than 500 patients since 2016 with rapamycin and metformin for increasing lifespan and reversing some aging processes – thereby keeping them healthier. He has recently started patients on a new regimen of dasatinib (an anti cancer drug approved in 1996), with fisetin and quercetin (2 flavonoids) for removal of senescent cells which increases lifespan and ameliorates age-related disease – basically as anti-aging medicine.1 These drugs have not been vetted by FDA for anti aging purposes mainly as aging is not considered as a medical condition by FDA!
Dr Green is recognized as one of the leading practitioners in the field of anti aging, who has been on the forefront of embracing new research in this space for the benefit of his patients.
- Dr Peter Attia:a medical doctor practicing in New York and California, focuses on the applied science of longevity.2 His practice focuses on improving both lifespan (living longer) and healthspan (living better). He is a leading voice in this space with his blogs, podcasts, speaking events, advisor relationships, and investments.
He personally uses many wearables, health apps, monitors, supplements, sleep equipment, health products, etc. in his highly regimented lifestyle for lifespan and healthspan!3
- Dr Al Sears:founder of the Sears Institute of Anti Aging Medicine in Florida, is also one of the first doctors to be board-certified by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. His institute has treated over 20,000 patients over the last 20 years and offers personalized anti aging treatments such as oxygen therapy, regenerative medicine, biological age analysis, anti aging supplements, etc.
- Dr Sara Gottfried:is a practicing MD, founder of the Gottfried Institute in California, Precision, Functional, and Integrative Medicine practitioner and also a World-Renowned Physician, Speaker, and multiple New York Times Bestselling Author. The Gottfried Institute mission – is to help people feel fully alive and balanced from their cells to their souls – that means lengthening healthspan. She has also authored the best seller book “Younger: A breakthrough program to reset your genes”.
In the US, MD’s who specialize in longevity, typically refer to themselves as “longevity practitioners”. The above are a select few of growing tribe.
It is a well kept secret that MOST high performance athletes, billionaires, high powered entrepreneurs / celebrities / professionals / investors, the age reversal tribe, statespersons, etc. are all using some kind of longevity and age reversal therapy today. (Fun fact: Both Warren Buffett and Jeff Bezos4 want to be the the oldest person alive! Any guesses on what they must be doing for longevity and age reversal?)
Anti aging therapies and medical practice are going main stream. It is now possible for each one of us to take action to positively impact your healthspan and lifespan, and lead a healthy, active and long life.
Are you going to stay ahead of the curve? Or are you getting left behind?
