Sorry, that is not correct, it is 3.23 years younger in 8 weeks!
Dr Kara Fitzgerald1 and others conducted a groundbreaking study on humans which reduced the biological age of participants by 3.23 years after a treatment protocol of 8 weeks. The clinical trial was conducted on 43 healthy adult males between the ages of 50-72 and the study was published by the scientific journal “Aging”.2
Isn’t that amazing!
How did they measure the result?: The Horvath DNAmAge clock (the current Gold Standard in measuring biological age)3 was used to measure the biological age of the participants before and after the treatment protocol.
What was the treatment protocol?: It consisted of 5 interventions for an 8 week period:
- Dietary guidelines:
General guidance:
Organic preferred over conventional, Measures are raw and chopped
Stay hydrated
Don’t eat between 7 pm and 7 am: or for a 12 hour period.
Include “healthy” oils: such as coconut, olive, flaxseed, and pumpkin seed oil
Avoid added sugar/candy, dairy, grains, legumes/beans
Minimize plastic food containers
- Guidance per week:
- 3 servings of the liver: 1 serving = 3 oz, Preferably organic
- 5-10 eggs: Ideally free-range, organic, omega-3 enriched
- Guidance per day:
- 2 cups of dark leafy greens: Including kale, Swiss chard, collards, spinach, dandelion, mustard greens, not including salad greens such as romaine, iceberg, Spring mix
- 2 cups cruciferous vegetables: Including broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, bok choy, arugula, kale, mustard greens, watercress, rutabaga, kohlrabi, radish, Swiss chard, turnip
- 3 additional cups of colorful vegetables of your choosing (excluding white potatoes, sweetcorn)
- 1-2 medium beet
- 4 tbsp (1/4 cup) pumpkin seeds (or pumpkin seed butter)
- 4 tbsp (1/4 cup) sunflower seeds (or sunflower seed butter)
- 1+ serving methylation adaptogens, choose from:
1/2 cup berries (wild preferred)
•1/2 tsp rosemary/turmeric
•2 medium cloves/garlic
•2 cups green tea / 3 cups oolong tea (brewed 10 minutes) - 2 servings of low glycemic fruit
- 6 oz animal protein:grass-fed, pastured, organic, hormone/antibiotic-free
- Supplement Prescription: PhytoGanix®, a combination of organic vegetables, fruits, seeds, herbs, plant enzymes, prebiotics, and probiotics at a dose of 2 servings daily, divided
UltraFlora® Intensive Care, containing Lactobacillus Plantarum 299vat a dose of 2 capsules daily, divided - Exercise Prescription: Minimum of 30 minutes of exercise per day for at least 5 days per week, at an intensity of 60-80% of maximum perceived exertion
- Sleep Prescription: Average a minimum of 7 hours of sleep per night
- Stress Management Prescription: A Breathing exercise Steps to Elicit the Relaxation Response developed by Herbert Benson MD4, twice daily
The dietary guidelines for the study include some nonvegetarian foods. As a vegetarian, I would replace these foods with: a daily intake of 1 cup whole grains, 1 cup lentils/beans/soy/oats, about 20 nuts, some sprouts, mushrooms, lemons, dark chocolate, and as an Indian, add a variety of spices such as cinnamon, red chilis, cardamom, cloves, saffron, cayenne pepper, etc. In my understanding, all these provide excellent age reversal benefits as well.5 6
What does this mean?: We now have proof via this clinical trial that only by following a dietary and lifestyle treatment protocol – which includes guidelines for exercise, sleep and destressing, we can reduce our biological age!
And I am sure that these protocols/treatments will get refined and sharpened in the very near future, further reducing biological aging, with only dietary and lifestyle protocols, by more than 3.23 years in 8 weeks!
Imagine the consolidated impact of such protocols with drugs, supplements, therapies like a stem cells, gene edits, plasma factors, HBOTs, etc. for age reversal! We just need to wait for the next series of clinical studies confirming the same. And I can tell you – there are a number of clinical trials underway for this.
Age reversal looks certain. I am getting ready for the ride of a lifetime. What say?
